KeraTwin® system

Clamp system

Ideal for:

  • Solid and lightweight substrates
  • Horizontal, vertical & [Overhead installation
  • Facades with variable grid dimensions

Advantages at a glance:

  • Flexible positioning: can be fixed in any drawing hole in the panel
  • Visible technology with system: clamps allow quick, secure installation
  • Simple panel replacement: individual elements can be replaced quickly
  • Few tools required: Easy processing – ideal for cutting to size on site
  • High grid tolerance: Minimal „pulling“ or „pressing“ when aligning is possible

Typical areas of application:

  • Concrete, masonry, stud walls, sandwich panels
  • Pre-attached, rear-attached façade Fixing with open fixing pattern
  • Horizontal, vertical, bonded, overhead
System Fastening by means of clamp system K20 B

Mounting principle – This is how ’s work:

  • Prepare the support profile:
Mount the horizontal or vertical substructure – e.g. with aluminum profiles.

  • Set the panels:
The façade panels are attached to the support structure with clips. Positioning üover existing drawing holes in the panel – simply & präcise.

  • Forming joints:
Depending on the design, use a joint profile or joint tape – for clean lines and a defined look.

Notes on installation

The substructure must be installed in accordance with project-specific structural calculations. The general building authority approval Z-10.3-844 serves as the basis.

  • The profiles of the basic substructure must be installed plumb and flush.
  • The spacing of the support profiles (profile width ≥ 60 mm) in the horizontal direction must correspond to the length grid of the panels.
  • The length of the vertical profiles must be divisible by the format height of the panels and should not exceed the height of a storey.
  • The profile joint must not lie behind a panel.
  • The vertical joints can be backed with black joint tape (Art. No. 506).
  • The staples (Art. No. 680, 681, 682, 683, 684) must be fastened with at least 2 rivets (Art. No. 675).
  • An extended riveting tool (25 mm) is required to process the rivets (item no. 675).
  • In the area of the staple fastening, the joints can be closed with the joint profile (Art. No. 688) and one joint profile holder (Art. No. 689) per panel.

Please note: The use of silicone rubbers should generally be avoided, as silicone oils migrate and create sticky, dirt-binding surfaces. Therefore, please only use the system components mentioned (foam punched parts, EDPM rubber, neoprene washer) or jointing, adhesive and sealing materials recommended by us, which we will be happy to provide you with up-to-date information on. The üusual final building cleaning is still necessary. A warranty for the KeraTwin® K20 system within the scope of the general building inspectorate approval no. Z-10.3-844 only applies when the system components shown on these pages are used.
