KERATWIN® SYSTEM

Vertical system profile

Ideal für:

  • Solid wall constructions such as masonry & concrete
  • Horizontal installation in a bond
  • Energy-efficient facades with high adjustment requirements

Advantages at a glance:

  • Separation of base and system profile: Precise alignment and high flexibility during installation
  • Höhenraster integrated: Fasteners already provided in the profile geometry
  • Tool-free panel installation: panels are hooked in via retaining grooves
  • Thermal & static requirements met: Compatible with brackets and struts
  • Retrofittable: individual panels can be easily replaced or supplemented

Typical areas of application:

  • Solid walls with high leveling requirements
  • Optimal solution for back-ventilated façades, construction with energy objectives
  • Horizontal, bond, overhead
System Fastening with vertical system rail K20 B

Mounting principle – This is how ’s works:

  • Installing the base profile:
The horizontal base profile is attached to the load-bearing wall – using a bracket or strut, depending on the structural requirements.

  • Adjusting the system profile:
The actual system profile is placed on the base profile – this enables finely adjustable positioning in the height grid.

  • Mount façade panels:
The panels are mounted – securely, quickly and tension-free without tools using retaining grooves.

  • Securing the position:
Can be selected with joint profiles or spacers to match the façade design.

Keratwin Befestigung
Befestigung mit vertikalem Systemprofil K20
  1. Wall bracket (basic substructure)

  2. Vertical support profile (basic substructure) Minimum width 80 mm / recommended width 100 mm

  3. A4 stainless steel screw, article 659 (alternatively fastening with blind aluminium rivets, article 658 possible), fastening under each retaining hook necessary!

  4. Vertical system profile K20, article 620

  5. KeraTwin® K20 façade panel

  6. The profile joint of the vertical support profiles must not be behind a panel! See rule detail drawings.

Notes on installation

The substructure must be installed in accordance with project-specific structural calculations. The general building authority approval Z-10.3-844 serves as the basis.

  • The profiles of the basic substructure must be mounted plumb and flush. (T-profile width ≥ 80 mm; recommended ≥ 100 mm)
  • The system profiles K20 (art. no. 620, 625, 630) must be aligned exactly horizontally and fastened to the holes provided under each retaining hook using screws (art. no. 659) or rivets (art. no. 658).
  • The spacing of the system profiles K20 in the horizontal direction must correspond to the length grid of the panels.
  • The length of the vertical profiles must be divisible by the format height of the panels and should not exceed the height of a storey.
  • The profile joint must not lie behind a panel.
  • For open vertical joints, one joint spacer (Art. No. 645) per panel is inserted into a centered drawing hole in the panel.
  • For closed vertical joints, the joint profile (Art. No. 640 for single-panel doors, joint insert profile Art. No. 647 for single-panel doors with cantilever arms) must be used.

Please note:
The use of silicone rubbers should generally be avoided, as silicone oils migrate and create sticky, dirt-binding surfaces. Therefore, please only use the system components mentioned (foam punched parts, EDPM rubber, neoprene washer) or jointing, adhesive and sealing materials recommended by us, which we will be happy to provide you with up-to-date information on. The üusual final building cleaning is still necessary. A warranty for the KeraTwin® K20 system within the scope of the general building inspectorate approval no. Z-10.3-844 only applies when the system components shown on these pages are used.
