In line with the trend towards naturally designed interiors, Agrob Buchtal succeeded in transferring the familiar, natural look of slate to ceramic tiles. The new Timeless collection does not simply imitate this source of inspiration, but interprets the theme independently by its own distinctive look which - in keeping with the name of the series - is timeless in the best sense of the word. The focus in this connection is on the fusion of graphics and relief or differentiated subtleties and details which have been precisely worked out with modern technology. The novelty will be launched on the market at the beginning of 2020 and will be available nationwide in the first quarter.
Timeless from Agrob Buchtal is impressive because of its cool and at the same time high-quality design. Based on the typical visual characteristics of slate, a sophisticated look has been created, which harmonizes with different styles. As for examples, Agrob Buchtal mentions furnishing trends such as "Casual Living", "Modern Classic" or "Country Feeling". For harmonious concepts, the manufacturer offers the popular floor formats of 30x60 and 60x60 centimetres (60x120 centimetresalso in preparation) in the three cosy colours anthracite, beige and grey. A modern cut decor in mosaic design (supplied on 30x30 centimetre sheets for easy laying) complements the floor tiles and permit special compositions. The design of vertical surfaces is carried out with matching wall tiles in natural-white stone-matt in the format of 30x60 centimetres. A special highlight is the Arita decorative element, which was created in collaboration with the renowned ceramist Fritz Roßmann.
Graphic cut mosaic for individual results
As an interesting complement to the slate-like floor tiles, Agrob Buchtal offers a modern mosaic cut decor. Its design language is based on clear geometric lines and surfaces, which are combined in different arrangements on 30x30 centimetre sheets The elements can then be individually joined together, so that new results are always produced. The cut mosaic is available in the same colours as the floor tiles.
Full decor Arita: developed in collaboration with Fritz Roßmann
Fritz Roßmann is a renowned ceramic designer based in Höhr-Grenzhausen (Westerwald). His works have already received several awards and are exhibited in museums and galleries all over the world. His aim is not to repeat or adapt forms of the past, but to transfer to the present what we admire in historical ceramics and to use it as an aesthetic stylistic device. For his well-known porcelain vessels, for example, he develops haptic relief decorations which are influenced by traditional Japanese decoration techniques. Depending on how the tool is used, the result is alternating rhythmic notches.
Together with Roßmann, Agrob Buchtal modified this decoration technique and created the accent tile Arita. The fine dynamic structure full of verve inevitably attracts attention and invites to a haptic experience in which the flattering surface almost literally seduces to touch and feel. In the 30x60 centimetre format, this full decor tile complements the stone-matt effect of the wall tiles in a strikingly artistic way.
The new Timeless series is rounded off by corresponding stair tiles and skirtings.
Additional benefit: Hytect
Just as many series of Agrob Buchtal, the Timeless collection is already provided with the Hytect coating ex works. This innovative solution is based on the effect of light and gives ceramic tiles revolutionary properties: they are extremely easy to clean, have an antibacterial effect without using chemical products and eliminate unwelcome odours and air pollutants. Hytect thus saves time and money and protects the environment by significantly reducing the use of cleaning agents and disinfectants.
