A timeless tile series that creates inviting places where you feel at home: MICRO is deliberately positioned as a collection for homely interiors. In combination with a warm, mineral base look, three classic decors - fine lines, grids, squares - create a quiet, discreet and cozy design. From a distance, the patterns merge with the background; up close, they almost look like textile fabric. Fine lines that invite you to discover them.

MICRO is not an extroverted design, but something restrained that reveals its beauty as you get closer. On their own or playfully combined with each other, the patterns evoke associations with the familiar and familiar things that surround us in everyday life.

TIMELESS DESIGN

Geometry of comfort

MICRO colours are mineral-based and understated. The series thus eschews fleeting trends and focuses on ceramics that are here to stay: healthy, resistant and durable.

The straightforward design fits perfectly into modern layouts and emphasizes different areas of use in an unseen way without being too fashionable. Three classic patterns, lined, checkered, checkerboard – LINES, MESH and SQUARE –, enter into a dialog as decors with the mineral-like basic look. The strict geometry is gently broken up by the natural character of the base tiles, creating a surprisingly „ soft “ impression. This makes it a timeless, homely tile that can be used in the entrance area, kitchen or bathroom. But also in a bistro, café or restaurant.

COLORS

Homely by nature

The color range of muted, light and medium mixed shades includes seven warm-toned beige and brown nuances, neutral gray tones with a low color content and the extra dark shade of lava.

The mineral origin of the graphic creates pleasant surface colors with homogeneous shades and subtle, soft grains, which individually and in combination with each other create an inviting atmosphere.

Each base color is assigned an accent color in which the different patterns are printed. The greater their proportion of the surface, the more intense the color impression. While the fine lines in the LINES decorative element stand out gently from the background, the contrast is heightened by the checkered pattern in MESH and intensified again in the colorful, gently glittering checkerboard look of SQUARE.

DESIGNER

Sebastian Herkner

MICRO is the second design created in collaboration with Sebastian Herkner, following the innovative „Grid“ surface from the Area Pro series. Herkner is one of the most sought-after German designers internationally. He primarily creates furniture, lighting and home accessories.

... on the inspiration for MICRO:

MICRO is the result of a collection of traces. Lines, grids and simple drawings become the starting points. In this case a school exercise book from Zimbabwe.

With a keen sense for materials, colors and textures, Sebastian Herkner combines new technologies and traditional craftsmanship. His aim is to emphasize the beauty of the material and draw attention to subtle details. For him, MICRO means focusing, zooming in, discovering.

Ideal dimensions

Agrob-Buchtal Micro-S-Rothe

With floor tiles in 5, 15, 30 and 60 x 60 cm and the large 60 x 120 cm format, various room situations can be catered for. Stair tiles in two formats, plinths and a 5 x 5 cm mosaic complete the portfolio.

The decorative tiles measure 60 x 60 cm throughout. One highlight is the matching coved plinth in 10 x 60 cm, which offers a clean transition from wall to floor in the truest sense of the word: The ästhetic shaped piece is not only particularly beautiful to look at, but also particularly easy to clean.
