KerAion^® K8 with visible clamp fastening

System description

KerAion^® facade panels are fastened to the substructure using K8 stainless steel clips. The clip lips are color-matched to the panel design. To prevent rattling and excessive stress from changing wind loads, the facade panels are softly mounted on the substructure using foam stampings or, alternatively, polyurethane.

* Alternatively, soft mounting of the plates is also possible with PUR or MSPolymer adhesives.

Please note: The use of silicone rubbers should generally be avoided, as silicone oils migrate and create sticky, dirt-binding surfaces. Therefore, please use only the recommended system components (foam stamped parts) or consult with us before processing the planned products. The usual final cleaning of the building is still required.

Installation instructions

The substructure must be installed in accordance with a project-specific structural analysis. The general building authority approval Z-10.3-776 serves as the basis for this.

• The profiles must be installed plumb and flush.
• The required and recommended T-profile width is ≥ 60 mm.
• The length of the profiles must be divisible by the format height of the panels and should not exceed one story height (approx. 3 m).
• The profile end of the vertical profiles must not be behind a panel.
• The stainless steel clips K8 (item nos. 545, 546, 547, 548, 549) must be fastened with stainless steel rivets (item no. 675).
• Foam stamped parts (item no. 347-01) or, alternatively, polyurethane must be used to provide soft support for the panels.
