KerAion^® K8 with visible clamp fastening

System description

The KerAion^® façade panels are fastened to the substructure using K8 stainless steel clips. The color of the clip lips matches the panel design. In order to prevent rattling and forced stresses caused by changing wind loads, the façade panels are softly supported on the substructure with punched foam parts or alternatively with polyurethane.

* Alternatively, soft mounting of the boards is also possible with PUR or MS polymer adhesives. Usable products on request.

• Please note: The use of silicone rubbers should generally be avoided, as silicone oils migrate and create sticky, dirt-binding surfaces.
• Therefore, please only use the specified system components (punched foam parts, EDPM rubber, neoprene washer) or jointing, adhesive and sealing materials recommended by us, which we will be happy to provide you with up-to-date information on. The usual final construction cleaning is still required.

Notes on installation

The substructure must be installed in accordance with the building-specific static calculation. The general building authority approval Z-10.3-776 serves as the basis. The profiles of the basic substructure must be mounted plumb and flush. (T-profile width ≥ 80 mm; recommended ≥ 100 mm)

• The profiles must be installed perpendicular and flush.
• The length of the profiles must be divisible by the format height of the panels and should not exceed a storey height (approx. 3 m).
• The profile joint of the vertical profiles must not lie behind a panel.
• The stainless steel clamps K8 (Art. No. 545, 546, 547, 548, 549) must be fastened with stainless steel rivets (Art. No. 675).
• For soft mounting of the panels, use foam punched parts (art. no. 347-01) or alternatively polyurethane.
