CERSAIE 2019: decorative accents, attractive geometries and haptic structures

Stories by Agrob Buchtal: urban character with style

Stories is a new ceramic tile series of the brand Agrob Buchtal, which invites new creativity on walls and floors with its variability. The name is not just a matter of chance: depending on which components are chosen and how they are combined, the room tells different stories about the individual design preferences of the residents. A wide range of formats, two decor variants, contemporary, long-lasting colours, haptic structures and attractive accentuating elements are available. No matter how Stories is composed and arranged, the new collection spreads urban flair in both private and public areas. The novelty will be launched on the market at the beginning of 2020 and will be available nationwide in the first quarter.

Characteristic features of Stories are the soft nuances of the floor and wall tiles, which together with a fine, stone-matt look abstract the characteristics of cement ceramically. This impression is particularly effective with typical shades in the case of the large-size tiles, which are available in the formats of 100x100 centimetres for the floor and 35x100 centimetres for the wall. They can be stylishly combined either with the Tangram cut decor, which plays with geometric shapes, or with the Ivy full decor, which with its floral fresco look embodies a casual mix of the past and contemporary modernity. On the floor, a 5x5 centimetre mosaic opens up further design options for partial or large-area accentuations.

Two decor worlds to choose from
With the Tangram cut decor, clear geometric shapes can be recombined again and again to create different patterns in this way. This decorative element is supplied on easy-to-lay 30x30 centimetre sheets, which enable an interesting dialogue between an intentionally rather discreet surface and dynamic geometric shapes. Just as the floor tiles, the Tangram cut decor is also available in the current, but at the same time timelessly long-lasting warm grey shades anthracite, concrete-grey, ivory and soft sepia.

In contrast to the strict geometry of Tangram, the full decor Ivy stands for casual romanticism of the modern kind. Ivy's delicately intertwined and artfully chased patterning conveys an unobtrusive playfulness and creates artistic-poetic charms in an otherwise clear ambience. This effect is underlined by the fresco-like, slightly washed-out Used Look, the two contemporary formats of 30x60 and 35x100 centimetres as well as the two pastel colours pearl and soft grey.

The wall tiles with their stone-matt, structured aesthetics and filigree cement look provide the perfect setting for the decorative elements of the collection. In combination with other components of the series, they create a pleasant and stylish room impression. Just as the Ivy full decor, the wall tiles are also available in the colours pearl and soft grey as well as in the dimensions of 30x60 and 35x100 centimetres.

Aesthetic and functional mosaic
In addition to the floor tiles in the formats of 30x60, 60x60 and 100x100 centimetres,,the Stories series also includes a 5x5 centimetre mosaic for variable use. Thanks to the special surface, the mosaics meet the requirements of slip- resistance class R10/B and thus can also be laid in so-called "wet areas" such as, for example, floor-level showers. Just as the floor tiles, the mosaic is also available in the colours anthracite, concrete-grey, ivory and soft sepia. The new Agrob Buchtal series is rounded off by matching stair tiles and skirtings.

Hytect coating on the top
Just as many series of Agrob Buchtal, the majority of the Stories collection also is already provided with the Hytect coating ex works. This innovative solution is based on the effect of light and gives ceramic tiles revolutionary properties: they are extremely easy to clean, have an antibacterial effect without using chemical products and eliminate unwelcome odours and air pollutants. Hytect thus saves time and money and protects the environment by significantly reducing the use of cleaning agents and disinfectants.

Motif 1

“Every face tells a story“ was the title of an album of Cliff Richard. The new collection Stories of Agrob Buchtal also tells a story, namely that of the design preferences of the residents - here expressed by the noble large format of 100x100 cm on the floor and the cut decor Tangram as filigree statement on the wall.

Motif 2

The full decor Ivy is predestined as discreet accentuation - here above the washbasin and on the wall of the shower, whose floor was designed with the functional and aesthetic 5x5cm mosaic of the new collection
