Installation instructions

The substructure must be installed in accordance with a project-specific structural analysis. The general building authority approval Z-10.3-844 serves as a basis.

• The profiles of the base substructure must be installed plumb and flush (e.g., hat or Z-profile).
• The K20 omega profiles (item nos. 624, 627, 633) must be aligned horizontally with precision and fastened using a connecting agent in accordance with the structural analysis through the pre-punched slots at the edge (note the fixed and sliding point design!).
• The horizontal spacing between the rails must correspond to the length grid of the panels.
• The length of the vertical profiles must be divisible by the panel format and should not exceed one floor height.
• The profile must not be located behind a panel.
• For open vertical joints, one spacer (item no. 645) is inserted into a central pull hole in each panel.
• For closed vertical joints, the joint profile (item no. 640 for single-span beams – joint plug-in profile item no. 647 for single-span beams with cantilever arms) must be used.

Please note: The use of silicone rubbers should generally be avoided, as silicone oils migrate and create sticky, dirt-binding surfaces. Therefore, please only use the recommended system components or consult with us regarding the planned products before processing. The usual final cleaning of the building is still required. A warranty for the KeraTwin^® K20 system within the scope of general building approval No. Z-10.3-844 only applies when using the system components shown on these pages.
