The coating is firmly baked into the ceramic at high temperatures – and is permanently part of the tile. When light hits the surface, photocatalysis starts and releases active oxygen. At the same time, the tile is hydrophilic: water is distributed as a fine film, infiltrates dirt and grease residues and leaves the tile free of dirt and grease. This works without any additional energy and without aggressive cleaning agents: little effort, great effect.

Easy to clean

The hydrophilic surface makes cleaning easier. Dirt and limescale find it difficult to adhere.

Water forms a thin film on the tile instead of drips that roll off ineffectively. As a result, dirt is washed away and can be easily removed. This reduces both the cleaning effort and the use of cleaning agents.
