Filigree mosaic enhances Linth Arena
The extensive renovation and expansion of the Linth Arena in Näfels took around 20 months. Since its completion in 2021/22, the sports and leisure facility has been back in top form. The new pools with paddling pool and wellness oasis are a crowd puller far beyond the region. The Loop series by AGROB BUCHTAL sets the tone here and provides a contemporary look & feel.
Built in 1975, the sports center in the Swiss canton of Garus has been renovated and extended several times over the years. In the process, the indoor pool and associated areas were left out. Accordingly, the operators and the municipality were keen to modernize everything around and make it fit for the future.
Recharge your batteries in the wellness oasis
The architect Thomas Lehmann was commissioned to give the existing restaurant and hotel rooms a face-lift. The swimming pools, on the other hand, were all renovated and extended to include a children's pool. The central changing area was also sensibly restructured in the process. The spacious wellness area with sauna, steam bath and relaxation rooms is located in the extension of the swimming hall. In a well-kept ambience with a magnificent view of the greenery, it is now possible to relax and recharge one's batteries.
Mosaic pattern creates rhythm
The LOOP series makes its grand entrance in the sporty and maritime atmosphere of the arena. The trendy button pattern covers the floors, stairs and walls of the entrance hall, indoor pool, sanitary zones and changing rooms. Round pixels alternating in white, gray and black create rhythm in the mosaic and define the various usage zones. In the wellness area, white sprinkles accentuate the otherwise black mosaic walls. This creates an attractive contrast and is reminiscent of bubbling drops of water.
Small format for organic shapes
The fine mosaic is ideal for the creative, modern and colorful design of wet areas and showers. 15 finely nuanced, high-gloss color variants are available, six of them in matt and slip-resistant finishes. The filigree format allows even rounded components, such as columns, seat pedestals or basin heads, to be clad down to the smallest detail. The glaze fired into the natural material clay is abrasion-resistant and gives colors lasting radiance.
Ceramic is hygienic, durable and economical
The mosaic tiles are finished with Hytect at the factory. This makes the surfaces antibacterial and easy to clean. Even after years of use, the colors and brilliance remain intact. The robust covering is therefore low-maintenance, economical and sustainable. These properties, the wide range of design options and Agrob Buchtal's many years of proven swimming pool expertise tipped the scales in favor of the product.
