Understated architecture with subtle accents

Clean lines and balanced proportions
The building impresses with its clear structure and understated palette of materials. The light-colored stucco facade lends the building a serene elegance, while generous window openings bring plenty of natural light into the apartments. Concrete frames precisely enclose the windows and emphasize their proportions. Narrow windows are grouped into vertical elements, lending the facade a balanced rhythm.

Despite the geometric breaks in the area of the loggias and the attic floor, the overall effect remains harmonious and cohesive. The building ä conveys a sense of calm without appearing monotonous – a quality ä that arises from the precise coordination of volume, material, and detail.

Ceramics as an Architectural Accent
Special attention has been paid to the design of the base and the attic level. Both areas are clad with ceramic strip tiles in the glaze color “Reinweiß” and stand out subtly from the stucco facade. The color scheme is deliberately understated and enhances the building’s elegant overall appearance.

The combination of different profiles from the CRAFT series adds depth. Smooth brick slips alternate symmetrically with the striking pointed profile. This finely tuned relief creates a lively interplay of light and shadow that lends the facade a sense of plasticity and changes its appearance depending on the time of day.

Materiality with a Lasting Impact
The project demonstrates how expressive architecture can be achieved using just a few, carefully selected materials. The combination of stucco, exposed concrete, and ceramic surfaces creates a timeless materiality that structures the building without dominating it.

The result is a residential building that impresses with its precision in detail and proves that understated architecture need not sacrifice expressiveness. Rather, it is the carefully placed accents and the high-quality materials that give the building its distinctive identity.
